Cold Laser Therapy:

Cold laser therapy, also known as low level laser therapy or Photobiomodulation, is used to stimulate blood circulation and tissue repair. Laser light penetrates deep into the skin/tissue layers and stimulates cellular energy and metabolic processes which in turn promotes healing and tissue regeneration. It also stimulates the release of natural, pain killing chemicals within the body facilitating long lasting pain relief.

Frequency of Treatment:

The frequency of cold laser administration varies depending on the condition. Cold laser therapy can be used for many conditions including:

  • osteoarthritis

  • hip dysplasia

  • intervertebral disc disease

  • wound healing

  • post operative treatment for ACL repairs

  • soft tissue injuries

  • spondylosis

  • lick granulomas

  • plus more

Cold Laser Therapy as an Alternative to Acupuncture:

Using a special pointer, the cold laser can also be applied to specific acupuncture points to stimulate those points without having to keep an acupuncture needles in place. This can be useful in animals that are uncooperative with needling.
